A little piece of information about your author: I am straight up OCD when it comes to doing my nails. I used to get the whole shebang – full set + designs/airbrushed – but that is not only expensive and terrible for your natural nails, but it also makes it difficult to work with your hands. (which I do)

Lately I’ve been keeping it classic with a simple color manicure, but only because I’ve been so bonkers busy (i did my hair 5 seconds after i did my nails a few days ago and my boyfriend found globs of polish in the back of my hair later that night)

When I do have the time, I really love to use fimo clay canes

You can buy pre-sliced or full canes (which are cheaper, and they’re pretty easy to slice yourself) All you need is clear polish. Do a coat of clear polish, or a dab where you want the clay slice, and press onto the nail. Go over with a fair amount of top coat aaaand you’re done. I pick mine up on Etsy, from Miniature Sweet

^fading, which I have yet to master – You are supposed to use a makeup sponge to get the proper look HOWEVER I didn’t have one. Instead I used one of those spongey hair curlers you sleep in and it turned a bit messy. BTW – that polish I’m holding, Justin Bieber “one less lonely girl” SUCKS. It will take you a millions of years to get A heart out of that garbage.

How messed up is that shit? This is why I have a weird thing about tumblrs…it’s just regurgitated shit over and over and people only site what tumblr they picked up the image from – not who it actually belongs to. Granted it can be tricky to track down the original source, but someone cropped that shit out on purpose in this case. NOT COOL.
