This weekend my boyfriend and I flew the Charleston, SC to find an apartment.

Moving out of state is super stressful. The rentals in Charleston get snatched up extremely fast, and we found that a lot of rental agencies are closed on Saturdays and Sundays which makes it even harder to find something if you’re only in town for the weekend.

We stayed at a spot we found via airbnb.com, which was definitely the way to go. It was significantly cheaper than any of the hotels in the area. It wasn’t in the heart of downtown which we prefer, but you can walk there or he has two bikes in the back you can use. The house was clean and comfortable, and the host (Bryan) was a total dream. Peep it out here

Oh, and bonus points for having the most adorable English Springer Spaniel neighbor

Walking around the holy city is straight up eye-candy for me. I’m a huge fan of smelling Jasmine everywhere I go, and there were flowers in people’s yards that looked like they came out of Jumanji

We really only got to look at two places which was giving me a full fledged stressing out panic attack. But somehow, we got one.

I just got back to cold ass NJ from a lovely sunshine filled week in Jamaica.

I found this book in the car on the way to the airport and read it in like 2 days. I had no clue Bear Grylls has written so many books! Looks like his wife, Shara even wrote one too, cuuute.

We stayed in one of those all-inclusive resorts in Montego Bay. The Iberostar Rosehall suites were beautiful-we had a droooop view from our balcony

The thing about these all-inclusives is that while the alcoholic bevies are free, they’re not that strong/made with really shitty booze. ^This drink was probably made with all liqueurs. I worked hard to feel comfortable in my bikini, but after 5 days of chugging these sugary concoctions and all-you-can-eat buffets that all went to shit.

This weekend we finally got to take advantage of a living social offer we booked months ago at a bed & breakfast in Lititz, PA.

Our rooms were beautiful and the beds were probably the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced. The owners were wonderful, sweet people who could COOK. I mean, holy shit. I seriously recommend this place if you want to get away for a bit.

While researching what to do while we were there, I found a pretty large wolf sanctuary 15 minutes from the B&B.

Taken directly from The Wolf Sanctuary of PA ‘s website:

“In the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch country, quietly secured on 22 acres of natural woodland, you will find the home of the Speedwell Wolves. For over 20 years the Darlington Family has offered refuge to Wolves who have found themselves without a place in the natural world. It has been over a hundred years since the last wild Wolf was known to exist in Pennsylvania.

Originally created as an educational facility, the Sanctuary has allowed the Wolves, as nearly as possible to associate as a pack, choose their mates and raise their offspring. The Wolves of Speedwell hold a unique position as Ambassadors to the wild. It has been said that “the best wolf habitat resides in the human heart.” Perhaps it is also that the best habitat for our own wildness resides in the heart of the Wolf.

The Sanctuary currently provides food, shelter and veterinary care for over forty Wolves with no government or corporate assistance. Only, by your continued support and interest do the Wolves thrive”

If I ever find myself in Lititz again, I’ll probably go back to the sanctuary. Here are some of my photos:

Wanderlust: The Amalfi Coast

It seems as though the holiday spirit is completely gone. People are being just…weird around here lately. Kinda rude, and just plain frazzled. No one holds the door for me at the post office anymore, people have been super short with me on the phone, I seem to be getting cut-off a lot more, actually-someone straight up almost drove into me the other day, and I’m pretty sure they were 100% aware they were doing it. I’m just minding my own business cruising in my cabrio, and this guy who is driving RIGHT NEXT TO ME (as in, there is noooo way I was anywhere near his blind spot, if this dude just glanced to his right, we would’ve practically been face to face) just starts comin right on over into my lane. I began to get nervous and hoped he would realize what he was doing

But he kept coming! How does he not see me? My heart started pounding and I began honking like crazy. Suddenly it was too late! This guy was probably a millimeter away from me. Thankfully there wasn’t anyone on my right so I could get out of the maniac’s way.

I cut back in front of him for safety reasons because someone was already in the process of turning into the lane I WAS FORCED TO JUMP INTO and he starts honking at me! WTF DUDE? YOU ALMOST JUST KILLED ME, AND YOU’RE GOING TO SIT THERE AND HONK AT ME?!

I mean….

Not that I particularly want to wish my life away, but if this is any indication of how people are going to be until the winter is over, I’d rather spend it in a coma.

So I spent a little time wanderlustin’ for Italy’s Amalfi Coast after seeing this beautiful editorial of Mariana Braga shot by Steven Chee for Fashion Quarterly NZ. Appropriately called “La Dolce Vita” siiiiigh
